Hi
I recently had the same problem. I loaded the Windows XP SP2 and _it_ "upgraded" Windows Messenger so that I could not use SIP anymore. I use the word "upgraded" with respect to Microsoft's definition!
To get Microsoft Messenger working again I had to down load Messenger from the microsoft web site and reinstall it. Once installed the old SIP settings were in the new Install.
Anyone got a way to bring this to the attention of Microsoft?
Stephen

Hi,
Have you noticed that windows messenger (4.7 in my case) seems to be updated by XP service pack 2 to 4.7.3000? I noticed because I couldn't find settings for my SER SIP server anymore :-(
This might affect SIP implementations that have been supporting windows mesenger so far. I'm afraid the only current windows SIP client that supports presence is sipc, wave3 and xten coming out with versions soon :-(
Erik
