this concerns a community much larger than the testbed. Commercial 
providers are interested in this too. And therefore a taskforce was 
formed to discuss dialplan issues (taking into account all the ones you 
mention) and work under the IMTC flag: UMMAP (Universal MultiMedia 
Addressing Platform)

Dave Olson and Tyler Johnson (from the higher ed and research networks 
communities) are part of that working group. Dave is chairing it. 
Everyone can join.
