Much thanks to Dennis and all the folks that made this cookbook happen!

Vanderbilt University is in the process of positioning itself for large
scale participation in the SIP.edu initiative. We are looking at using
Mark Spencer's Asterisk Open Source PBX as our gateway service and will
have documentation to contribute once we're up and running.

Dennis Baron himself deserves tremendous kudos for making this happen!

However, this is just a beginning. The cookbook will grow, as
additional campuses become SIP.edu-enabled and acquire additional
implementation experience. It will also grow as SIP.edu expands in
functionality beyond the goals of the initial architecture.

Again, we welcome your feedback and contributions.

I'm pleased to announce that the first edition of the SIP.edu Cookbook
is now online at:

Thanks in particular to Ben Teitelbaum from Internet2 and Jeremy George
from Yale on their contributions. The cookbook is seen as a dynamic
document so contributions and additions are always welcome!

The SIP.edu project page <http://voip.internet2.edu/SIP.edu/> has also
been updated.
