Presence and IntComm WG

Hi Folks,

We will hold a PIC WG conference call today at 4pm EDT.
- Continued planning of "next steps" for the PIC.edu project

Short term goals:

- Select an XMPP-based server (OpenFire is the current strong 
candidate) with at least basic IM functionality (chat, chatgroups, 
session log, other?)
- Recommend (some) clients as part of the solution
- Provide cookbook solution for deployment, configuration, authN 
integration, other?

Timing
- Some deployments, perhaps a demo, by spring Internet2 member meeting
