Thanks, Ben.  I think that seems like an excellent choice for us to 
work with within PIC to get some practical user experience.

If we are going to try to work on the code at all, perhaps the 
reference implementation may also be interesting:

Slightly lower feature score, certainly, but it's written in C  which 
is better for my staff to hack on, if it comes to that.  Also, the CVS 
version, which I suppose may eventually become jabberd-2.1 someday, 
uses cyrus-sasl which makes for interesting possibilities for 
authenticated access for the future.

For the time being, though, I'm more than happy to work with Ben's 
wildfire deployment.
