I exchanged emails with Vaclav and he is making some changes that will 
probably be pertinent to pic-ser installations.  Unfortunately, he is 
using the latest PA module code from the repository, and there could be 
considerable work to synchronize this with pic-ser.  I'll post more 
information later, but here are some of his changes.  I believe the 
first two of these are already in the pic-ser distribution.

- added Expires and Contact headers into response to SUBSCRIBE and 
NOTIFY request (required by RFC 3265)
- added Expires and SIP-ETag headers into response to PUBLISH (RFC 3903)
- corrected a bug (overwriten memory somewhere) which led to crash
- some little corrections of data format (XPIDF may be)
- corrected bug which led to sending NOTIFY requests in incorrect dialogs
- corrected a bug which led to closed state of long registered clients
