Actually, I think I was mistaken about ineen and peering. Their FAQ
states:
ineen uses SIP [Session Initiation Protocol] and other open
standards. ineen is (sic) interoperable with various SIP networks
today including but not limited to:
Free World Dialup
SIPphone
TerraCall
Iptel.org
I've discovered the reason my test calls to/from ineen have been
failing; ineen's advertized SDP includes no support for G.711---only
Speex and DTMF:
