I will be getting on a 1PM call but working in the office until then.

thanks,

PICers,

We will proceed with the PIC WG call this Thursday at 4pm ET. I'd
like to make some progress on planning the double session we have
proposed for the Internet2 Spring Member Meeting. I'd also like to
discuss the possibility of conducting a limited demo of LBS in
conjunction with a planned demo of "I3" 911.

Here is the session proposal that Jeremy submitted for us:

SESSION TITLE:

Presence, Integrated Communications and Location Based Services

SESSION ABSTRACT:

The Presence and Integrated Communications working group proposes a
double session. The primary intended audience would be campus
decision makers who, to date, appear to be reluctant to move toward
the opportunities available in advanced IP communications.

One session would be a panel discussion on Rich Presence, Integrated
Communications and Location Based Services: their definitions, the
state of the art and likely futures. This would be similar in nature,
but not content, to the RTC panel at the FMM 04. Possible presenters
are Henning Schulzrinne (Columbia U) and Rodger Will (Ford).

The other session would be devoted to presentations by members of the
PIC working group explaining group activities to date and how we can
help campuses take the steps discussed in the other session. Possible
presenters are Jamey Hicks (HP), Deke Kassabian (UPenn), Joe Rork
(Ford) and Candace Holman (Harvard).

Last week, there was some confusion about which eDial bridge to use.
To avoid further confusion, I have disabled 0143536. Instead, from
now on we will use 0125986. This is a persistent conference---in
addition to using it for the weekly working group calls, you may use
it as a chat room anytime.

Any of the following options may be used to join:

Option 1 (PSTN to our conference server):
+1-734-615-7474 or
+1-866-411-0013
Access code: 0125986

Option 2 (PSTN or SIP from our conference server to you):
http://edial.internet2.edu/call/0125986
(follow instructions there)

Option 3 (PSTN to a commercial SIP gateway provider, back-hauled via
IP to our conference server):
(800) 392-6130
Access code: 0125986

Option 4 (SIP to our conference server):
sip:

Option 5 (Free World Dialup)
FWD 4233425 ("I2eDial") will forward to our conference server. You
may then key in the access code: 0125986.
