With the renewed excitement and the Windows version, I'm wondering

The sipphone service is wired into the source code, but not in that many places. If the phonegaim user agent was desirable, it would be pretty straightforward to remove the sipphone.com hardcoding.
The linphone I have installed has enough local changes that phonegaim won't build against it, so I have not tested phonegaim.
