Presence and IntComm WG

When I looked at the PhoneGaim source a couple of months ago, it
was...

A) Tightly bound to the SIPphone service;

B) Based on Linphone (plus Gaim);

With the renewed excitement and the Windows version, I'm wondering
whether these two statements are still true?
