Candace,

The only problem I had with a fresh install of the latest sipc on linux 
is that after  I fill in preferences and the preferences window closes, 
I get a blank gray window and nothing else happens.  At this point, 
restarting sipc causes it to work properly.  I sent a copy of the files 
in .sipc to xiaotaow, so maybe it will get fixed.
