*April 8 conference call attendees*

Jeremy George (chair) - Yale
Steve Blair - Penn
Joe Rork - Ford
Candace Holman - Harvard
Dennis Baron - MIT
Jamey Hicks, Andy, Brian - HP
Xiaotao Wu - Columbia
Ben Teitelbaum - Internet2
Ben Chinowsky (scribe) - Internet2

The April 8 call was devoted to deciding whether or not to go forward with the
demo at the Member Meeting, given that the date is fast approaching and there
are still many problems. The group reached consensus on doing either a lower-
profile demo deemphasizing VoIP, or no demo at all, with a final decision to
be reached on the list.

In discussion on the list over the next few days, a consensus emerged on
doing a
lower-profile demo focused on IM, presence, and location. Joe summarized the
specifics:

room bugging - no
edial - no
voice mail - no
handsets - no
Session - yes, so the Mac users can IM with us, not to promote voice
codecs - since we are not using edial, default to GSM
email promo - yes, Jeremy is working on it

Per Jamey's suggestion, there will be a raffle with a wireless iPAQ as the
prize. Anyone who is logged on to the portal or registered on the proxy for at
least an hour each day will be entered into the raffle.
