Hello Deke:

The click to call function should work in Session on Windows 2000/XP but
is not yet implemented for OS X. It will be implemented in a
forthcoming OS X build, but will not be available before the MM.

Thanks,
Jeff

Subject: [WG-PIC:136] web page click-to-call in Session?

Jeff and all,

I've installed Session 2.1.1 under MacOS X (10.2.8) and it seems to
be working well. I register successfully with ser.uits.indiana.edu
and successfully complete calls to other registered users.

I wondered whether when Session is installed, it might configure
the installed browsers to deal with SIP URLs. So I added the
following line to a web page and clicked the link.

<br>SIP <A
HREF="sip:"></A>

Neither Safari (1.0 v85.5) nor IE (5.2 5010.1) knew what to do with
this. Did we expect that they would? Is my html malformed? That
wouldn't surprise me.

I tried to teach IE to be sip-savvy in protocol helpers, to no avail.
I'm not even sure how to try in Safari.
