Hi All, am setting up some tests for live encoding, with some different
options.
I have cameras with HDMI out and Component Video out.

I would like to test some Mac Minis (OSX) for the encoding, they only have
Firewire and USB inputs, I plan to test Wirecast, and the Livestream
Procaster and UStream encoders.

I would like recommendations for the following hardware converters, if you
have good experiences with them, and if you have the time!

1. Component video to firewire
2. HDMI video to firewire
3. Component video to USB
4. HDMI video to USB

Input will probably be 1080i or p, 720p if possible, whatever the camera puts
out, the final encoded web stream will probably not be more than 480p, with
smaller frame sizes. An inexpensive but adequate solution is preferable. I
looked through every page of the Markertek catalog, saw some options, did a
couple of hours of Googling, but would like to hear from someone with
experience with any of the above.

Also looking at the Teradek Cube, but would like some computer-based options.

Thanks!
