We are trying to track down a multicast issue on our network with a multicast stream that we are receiving from OSTN.Our cable system feed (VF STB) and PC clients for OSTN are a little choppy up here at MTU. (but this is also on the Merit network) Getting a little packet loss on Conn College and TA3 too so there may be a common bottleneck. All three were good sources in the recent past.
Could you take a moment to tune into http://watch.ostn.tv and see what the video quality is like. All you have to do is enter the URL into a browser and the videofurnace java client will autoamatically be downloaded.
We are getting a very choppy feed here at Merit in a couple of locations across the state and I am wondering whether this is a Merit issue or something more widespread with the multicast stream from OSTN.
