I implemented something 2-3 years ago where the idea was to have kind of a 
ssm based hierarchy of sap proxies.individual domains would use asm sap as 
today internally. I remember announcing it on the m6bone list. There are 
other proposals though. In particular Hitoshi Asaeda's channel reflector.

I should dig up more details.this is just with my phone while enjoying a 
pint...
