Folks,
Pardon the administrivia but here's how to leave this list:
http://multicast.internet2.edu/wg-multicast-join.shtml
To Unsubscribe
1. Send an e-mail to the address:
2. In the subject header OR in the body of the email put:
unsub wg-multicast FirstName LastName
e.g. (sub wg-multicast Alex Bell)
(You probably mean "unsub wg-multicast Alex Crosswell" :)
Something a lot of people seem to not know is RFC2369 which defines (amongst others) the following great headers (copied from the mail Alan sent):
List-Id: <wg-multicast.internet2.edu>
List-Help:
<mailto:?subject=help>
List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:?subject=unsubscribe%20wg-multicast>
List-Archive: <https://mail.internet2.edu/wws/arc/wg-multicast>
As you can see, that includes a really handy unsubscribe url ;)
At least Mailman and apparently Sympa use these headers properly, other mailinglist software should also do so avoiding a lot of these issues.
Thunderbird users probably want to install:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/576
Which gives them direct access to those links. Very handy for getting rid of a lot of lists you don't read anyways.
Greets,
Jeroen
(Yeah, spamming 649+/-20 people is always great ;)
