There *is* a version of StreamPlayer that runs on both Linux and Solaris

Streamplayer doesn't run on Linux. What can I say?
228.1.1.1 is in the IANA-reserved range so those sites with good
multicast designs are blocking your traffic. The rest of us receive
it:-) The reason to block reserved addresses is that a number of the
recent windows viruses scan the entire IP address range including all
multicast, so the more addresses you block from your campus, the fewer
MSDP SA's you'll flood out when a scanner starts running.
