I've done some very basic testing with recent firmware on HP procurve
switches (4000m, 4108gl, 2650), and I *think* everything worked ok but i
won't swear to it since we ended up dropping back to IGMPv2 for various
reasons.
I haven't tested it in a CGMP environment, i've got a Juniper at my edge.
I might surmise based on alan's question that you have a non-cisco switch
between your router and your cisco switch, and you are concerned that
the cisco switch is not seeing the CGMP multicasts. I would not be at
all surprised if your non-cisco switch weren't filtering out the CGMP
because the cisco switch doesn't do a "join" of that group. (not meant
as a definitive statement of cisco switch behavior, just a guess)
