At http://www-fp.mcs.anl.gov/~nickless/MBGP+PIMSM+MSDP.ppt is a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation that goes through the background of how these protocols work together and what their purposes are. It also includes some sample Cisco configuration statements that you can use as a basis.
And if you don't want to deal with a PowerPoint presentation, go to

which I have tested with Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, and Opera.
It's been updated in the past 15 minutes or so in a few detail areas, too.
