> Comments on minutes from last call
None.
> Review of previous action items
>
> 1 Stanislav, Steven, Lisong, and Injong to get together
> offline to discuss the NeTS proposal. Work on the proposal
> must happen before the next call. Stanislav will setup a
> call.
Done.
> 2 Lisong to submit a draft description of TCP Westwood to the
> group for review.
Done. Stanislav not incorporated it.
> 3 (continued from last call) All to look at the requirements
> section of the document to ensure it captures the intent of
> the group.
Steven: Looked before, maybe should look again.
> 4 (continued from last call) Steve to include several items to
> the API based on group consensus.
Done.
> 5 (continued from last call) Larry and Steve will start a
> discussion on the list about how long a packet can remain in
> the queue before flushing should occur.
Done. Timed reliability will suit Steven's purposes.
Stanislav: Can we look at the API document.
Steven: It only exists in the form of notes to self for now. Still
need to write it up.
> 6 (continued from last call) Steve to contact the authors of
> the relevant SCTP RFC to see if new information is
> available.
Steven: Still on the list.
> 7 Larry, Steven S., and Stanislav to talk on Tuesday about the
> API. Stanislav will set up the call.
Done. Steven to look at Larry's notes and then they'd be posted to
the list.
> NSF NeTS solicitation update -- Injong
A group got together as discussed. The proposal is practically ready,
with Injong as the PI.
> SLC Joint Techs in February -- Stas
Stanislav: Who's going to be there?
Charles.
Steven will consider coming.
Stanislav interested in sharing his presentation slot.
> Design space survey status and time line -- Stas
Include Lisong's description of TCP Westwood.
Address Bartek's comments.
Stanislav: Would like to have conclusions before mid-February so that
a reasonably complete design survey exists by Joint Techs. Is this
realistic?
Steven: Seems so.
> Action items for next meeting
1. Stanislav: incorporate Lisong's TCP Westwood description.
2. Stanislav: address Bartek's comments about MaxNet and XCP.
3. Stanislav: draft conclusions section for design space survey.
4. (Continued.) All: look at the requirements section of the document
to ensure it captures the intent of the group. Send comments to
the mailing list. (A simple ``I think this is what we want to
build'' is OK, too.)
5. (Continued.) Steven: contact the authors of the SCTP RFC to discuss
models of partial reliability other than timed reliability.
6. (Continued.) Steven: write up API specification.
> Next meeting date and time
Same time in a week. January 21, 2005. Noon US/Eastern.
