Maybe "thrulay: Cannot find ELF"? In such case, it could be an issue
with the compiler toolchain. Are you using GCC or Sun CC?

I've been successfully testing thrulay on Solaris 8 (Generic_117350-26
sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire) and didn't see any errors like yours. You
may get write/read errors sometimes though. These errors are fixed in
CVS. If you come accross them, please drop us a note and we will
gladly provide you the fixed sources.
