Most likely too late to mention but I ended up flying into Fort Lauderdale because the ticket was close to $300 cheaper. I then got a round trip shuttle for $35 from and to the airport.  Seemed like the most money conscious way to get in and out.

It seems like ride sharing would be a great way to save money for I2, thanks Sue!

I put together a shared doc in Box that we can use to try to find common arrival/departure times and connect up.

If you are interested in ride sharing, please put the relevant info in this doc and before you leave for your trip, try to find others arriving about the same time and connect up with them to try to ride share, if feasible.  Rinse and repeat before you depart.

I will be departing the InterContinental Miami hotel on Tuesday, September 27^th at 11:00AM for my return flight to Detroit via Miami International Airport.  If anyone has a car going to the MIA at that time, I would appreciate a lift, otherwise if you need a ride, let me know and I’ll secure a car for us.
