Just Added! SIP Tutorial in Miami
SIP Pioneers Henry Sinnreich, Alan Johnston co-Present Full Day Event
in Conjunction with Illinois Institute of Technology
Dear Colleague,
The “SIP Tutorial” has been added as a full-day pre-conference
workshop taking place in conjunction with ITEXPO and 4GWE Conference
in Miami, Florida next week.
The SIP Tutorial takes place on Tuesday, January 19th, one day in
advance of ITEXPO and 4GWE which run January 20-22. Both events will
be held in the Miami Beach Convention Center.
This full-day tutorial is presented in cooperation with the Illinois
Institute of Technology. You can earn a continuing-education
certification for attending the SIP tutorial.
Henry Sinnreich and Alan Johnston, who have been at the heart of the
IETF and SIP standards since the beginning of SIP, will lead the
conference sessions.
This event will present the latest information on the standard, and it
will help academics, network planners and SIP developers stay ahead of
the curve, by sharing the plans for changes that will affect SIP for
wireless applications and voice.
If you work with SIP, or if you intend to implement SIP for wireless
applications and voice, then attending this tutorial will teach you
more in a single day than you could learn in months of training
elsewhere.
The SIP Tutorial features an introduction to SIP and all of its
associated protocols. Client-client server and peer-to-peer SIP
systems will also be discussed in detail. Various Internet-traversal
issues, and SIP security issues will be evaluated, and SIP-specific
solutions will be presented. Numerous examples of SIP-based
communication applications will be provided in the areas of telephony,
presence, instant messaging and multimedia.
The complete agenda for the SIP Tutorial is available online.
Conference and Expo registration for the SIP Tutorial, 4GWE and ITEXPO
remain open.
Individual passes for SIP Tutorial are available, or you can gain
access by purchasing a Platinum Conference Pass for 4GWE, which
includes access to SIP Tutorial on tuesday, plus all 4GWE breakout
sessions Wednesday through Friday.
Please contact Frank Coppola with any questions you have regarding
registration options.
I look forward to greeting you in sunny and warm Miami (yes, I promise
the sun will return to Miami before we get there).
Carl
