SIP in higher education

Sip.edu and VoIP SIG members,

   There is no conference call this afternoon due to the holidays but we have 
a very special guest lined up for next week.  Dr. Henning Schulzrinne of 
Columbia University is going to give us an update of where SIP standards are 
at this time,  what are some of the IETF issues and where are we going as an 
industry.

   Dr. Schulzrinne has provided significant contributions to the SIP RFCs and 
is a co-PI on NG911 projects that we have been doing together for a few years 
now. I consider him to be the father of SIP.  

 Melanie will send out a reminder on Monday with the phone contact info but 
the call will be at the normal time and number (Thursday 1:00 pm Central 
time).  I am looking forward to this presentation.
