I get this error when I try and compile log4shib on a Tru64-based Alpha
server with gcc 3.4.6:

~ g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../include -I../include -D_REENTRANT
- -pthread -Wall -O2 -DNDEBUG -std strict_ansi_errors -Wall -Wno-unused
- -pedantic -MT Appender.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/Appender.Tpo -c Appender.cpp
~ -DPIC -o .libs/Appender.o
g++: strict_ansi_errors: No such file or directory
cc1plus: error: unrecognized command line option "-std"
gmake[1]: *** [Appender.lo] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/users/stuart/shibsp-src/log4shib-1.0/src'
gmake: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

Is this something that I need to take up with the log4cpp people or
could it have something to do with the log4shib fork itself?

And, for that matter, is it even worth trying to compile the 2.0 SP on a
64-bit box yet? I haven't been paying all that much attention but I've
been getting the impression that there are still some issues to work out
with 64-bit environments. OhioLINK has 3 Alpha running Tru64 that will
need SPs if we're going to be able to successfully migrate over.
