Can we expand on this idea? I agree that providers are in the best
position to publish metadata about themselves (perhaps driven by tools
that draw from the underlying configuration) but aggregation is still
necessary (a metadata repository?) and I'm not fully understanding the
details how such a repository is accessed and maintained. No doubt
you've thought about it. Care to describe this process?
