The IdP is distributed only in the form of a .tar.gz
archive. I have observed that using both Winzip 8.1 and 9.0 the file names
generated by expanding this file on Windows are corrupted in a eight cases. A
suffix of 0000770 or 0000660 is appended to the .java extension. I believe this
is some kind of format disagreement between the tar being used to create the
archive and Winzip. However, Winzip is the overwhelming choice and standard in
Windows. So much so that I would be hard pressed to suggest any other program
generally available that one would use to expand tar.gz files. I propose that a
.zip of this archive also be generated and stored in the distribution
directory. I know this is unexpected and invite anyone else to repeat
the experiment to see if you do not end up with: \src\edu\internet2\middleware\shibboleth\aa\arp\ArpRepositoryFactory.java0000770 \src\edu\internet2\middleware\shibboleth\aa\attrresolv\ResolverCache.java0000660 \src\edu\internet2\middleware\shibboleth\aap\provider\XMLAAPProvider.java0000660 \src\edu\internet2\middleware\shibboleth\metadata\EntitiesDescriptor.java0000660 \src\edu\internet2\middleware\shibboleth\serviceprovider\ShibBinding.java0000660 \src\edu\internet2\middleware\shibboleth\utils\ant\XMenuInputHandler.java0000660 \src\edu\internet2\middleware\shibboleth\utils\ClientCertTrustFilter.java0000660 \src\edu\internet2\middleware\shibboleth\xml\SchemasResourceListImpl.java0000660
