5)  Making progress on SAML 2.... I'd like to pick up the 
conversation from the notes Scott distributed from last week's 
conversation:

Chad explained some of the requirements he was seeing for Logout, and
expressed the opinion that IdP-logout is more critical near term, and this
is an authn-specific activity at this point that people can implement if
they need to and their SSO system allows it. We also noted the ability to
publish local logout protocols via SingleLogoutService metadata for the time
being.

We also agreed that starting to work on authentication-related APIs and
functionality for SAML 2 is probably a natural next step anyway, since we
need that for a consistent IdP logout option, and it will be important for
lots of the additional work we want to do.
