RL Bob will be missing today's call, and Scott has to leave after an
hour. I have a funeral this morning (followed by the obligatory family
gathering, designed to move from mourning to celebrating a full life),
but should be able to make the call.

Let's try hard to start the call on time, at 3 pm. I'd really like to
find consensus on a schedule for  getting 1.3 out the door in beta form.
If I'm not on the call by 2-3 minutes past 3 pm, assume I'm trapped in
family affairs, and start without me.
