Name is internal jargon. Selecting the IdP will be a two-step process: a)
selection of geographical entity and b) selection of institutions within
the
entity. So, we will use geographical organization as a middle sorting tier;
we are quite flexible in terms of what text to use in our interface. Now we
are just wondering how to geographically described both InCommon and
InQueue
as they overlap geographically.

is the current thinking that browser users would have to click
through two pages (first select a geo entity, then select an IdP), or
are you imagining that the initial implementation would merely use
the geo/fed names as an organizing tool within a single page (and to
begin the branding process)? I'd vote very strongly for the
latter......

[Weertman, Niels (ELS)] they don't have to go to two separate pages. If
basically works as follows: the user selects the region he is from from a
dropdown widget or selects 'all regions' and thereupon the list with
institutions per region is displayed. So it's really a organization tool on
one page.
