pubcookie, for one example system, does support this, I believe.
Yes, the pubcookie apache module handles and preserves POST data thru the login process. It does not, however, handle file uploads (i.e. multipart/form-data).
FWIW, I've not had this in my SSO system at OSU, and since 1997 I've
probably had one application that was really bothered by it, and it never
became a big issue.
Likewise, the pubcookie IIS filter doesn't handle POST and this hasn't been an issue for us either. And we use the filter for most of our web-based student and administrative services.
