I don't think so.. it's a rather "large" (relatively) architectural
change, and would require a decent amount of work and testing to make
sure it's working right.  Similarly, there is a great deal of work to
do on Linux to make sure it works right.

I think 1.0.1 should remain as it is and work on the upgrade for
the 2.0 version.  It's unfortunate that Solaris is deprecating "select()".
