One risk in having too many categories is that users might have trouble grokking the categorization when they enter bugs. This might lead to greater initial misrouting of bugs, which might cause extra work for some.
OK... so it sounds like the suggestion is "give users entering bug reports an easy set of components to select from"...
and the programmers will rely less on the component categorization and more on the "what bugs and tasks are assigned to me" search?
Right now, the following versions/milestones are setup:
Shibboleth
Versions - alpha-1, alpha-2, alpha-2.5
Milestones - beta-1, beta-2
OpenSAML
Versions - beta-1, beta-1.5
Milestones - beta-2
Thoughts?
good lord -- you forgot v1-final ! (whatever its usually called in bugzilla-speak)
and I suspect you want to put 1.1 in there, as well. As a container -- not a promise!
