Looking closer at things I don’t see where these scripts even work with the logstash/opensearch data. Since they aren’t documented on the website I’m wondering if these scripts aren’t even production ready for the current release.

That was overlooked that when we released 5.0.  I’ll talk to the rest of the team during this morning’s developer call and see if there’s a plan for adding it.

To that end I did look at our host that is still running CentOS 7 and it does have the package providing plpythonu (postgresql10-plpython-10.17-1PGDG.el7.x86_64) and if I try to remove it the dependency resolution tries to remove most of my perfsonar packages. That package is required by postgresql-init which is required by pscheduler-server.

To clarify, it wasn’t that we weren’t removing the package, just the configuration in the database that uses the extension it provides.  Leaving the package on the system is fine.   The dependency in postgresql-init remained there for a reason that escapes me at the moment, but only on EL7 since later versions don’t have that package.  At any rate, none of that exists in 5.1.0 because all support for EL7 has been removed in that release.
