Hi list,

Our organisation has made the decision to phase out ubuntu and move to Debian; in our upcoming hardware refresh we're looking at starting with bookworm. A small section of our fleet is already on bookworm.
Now the question arises how soon there will be support for Debian 12 so we don't need to dial the clock back to accommodate perfSonar (specifically perfSonart testpoint, which seems to have a hard dependency on older ssl and postgres versions; bookworm comes w/ a default of libssl3 [3.0.11-1] and postgres 15; with libssl being the greater issue from our perspective) when the decision on the new hardware has been made.

Kind regards,

Andrej Ricnik
