All,
A new bug fix release of perfSONAR is now available. It fixes multiple issues users have reported and thanks to all those in the community that worked closely with us to track some of these down. You can find full release notes here: https://www.perfsonar.net/releasenotes-2023-12-12-5-0-7.html
Also a few other notes:
- We have noticed quite a few users may have services down on their perfSONAR boxes that have been hit with bugs fixed in previous 5.0.X releases. If your box has been having issues for awhile, we recommend you upgrade to 5.0.7 and then do a reboot of the system just to get everything back to square one.
- We also notice there are still a lot of CentOS 7 hosts out there. CentOS 7 will be end-of-life by RedHat in June 2024. perfSONAR EL9 packages are fully supported and encourage everyone on older RedHat-based operating systems to upgrade as soon as possible. EL7 and EL8 packages will not be supported by the perfSONAR project when we release perfSONAR 5.1.0 in the first half of next year.
As always, please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
The perfSONAR Development Team
