Like I mentioned, with this information currently, it makes the grids but only displays them as orange boxes with the "No metadata matches query" error upon clicking them.

This looks almost good provided your archives section is defined like:

            "archiver": "esmond",

                "url": "https://perfsonararchive.usd.edu/esmond/perfsonar/archive",
                "measurement-agent": "{% scheduled_by_address %}"
            }
        }
    },

Also I think the two entries of "url" in your snippets above are extras - remove them as you have archive reference in the "archives" section

Could you please run the CLI command I provided earlier so that you verify if the actual test runs properly?
