Hi,

I've seen that happening in two occasions:

 (0) latency tests were excluding throughput.

 We had to move to latencybg, following Mark Feit's advice.

 (1) DB in maddash got corrupted after running out of disk.

 - sanitize DB;
 - republish on Maddash: psconfig publish then restart;
 - psconfg remote add in each host.

Sorry if it's just noise.

Raul

John and/or PerfSONAR users,

The latency mesh in MaDDash is doing great now, however the throughput mesh isn’t showing any results.  The configured tests from PWA are showing up in the toolkit for each node, but those results aren’t making their way to the mesh.  Any ideas on what I should try next?

Thanks.

Hi Brian,

I think this might be caused by this issue:

https://github.com/perfsonar/psconfig-web/issues/219

This should be fixed in 4.4.2, but in the meantime, try this:

$ sudo cp /usr/lib/perfsonar/psconfig-web-admin/auth/node_modules/moment/moment.js /usr/lib/perfsonar/psconfig-web-admin/shared/node_modules/moment/

And restarting perfsonar-psconfig-web-admin-publisher.service.

Subject: [perfsonar-user] PWA config not making it to MaDDash

Hello,

I’ve been troubleshooting some problems with latency and throughput meshes in MaDDash.  I had generated them with PWA and after troubleshooting PWA doesn’t seem to be generating a config anymore.  I had re-installed PWA and MaDDash during my troubleshooting and both websites still load up.  MaDDash shows no meshes, and on PWA I’m able to add hosts, hosts groups, testspecs and setup a config.  However when I hit the “pSConfig” button on the configs page it throws a 502 proxy error:

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

The proxy server could not handle the request GET /pwa/pub/config/networknebraska.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

When I go to http://<hostname>/pwa/pub/config I get the following:

[{"include":["http://<hostname>/pwa/pub/config/networknebraska"]}]

When I go to http://<hostname>/pwa/api/pwa/health I get the following:

{"status":"failed","msg":"pwacache is reporting unusually low hosts count..","cache":{"hosts":0,"update_time":1634162480319}}

This machine is running perfSONAR 4.4.1-1.el7, running on CentOS 7.9.2009.  I’m not sure where else to go from here, could someone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks.
