Hi, That’s not the intended behavior, I’ll create an issue for this. I assume you are doing a “systemctl disable yum-cron” when you turn-off auto-updates? Doing a quick look at the script, the lines you omitted should only be enabling yum-cron on a new install or upgrades from the long unsupported 3.3.2 (as an aside we should probably just remove the checks for that at this point). There are some lines at the end that touch a config file whether its new or update, but those should only matter if yum-cron is running.
