Hi Kate,

Not sure what is going on but on a host I have doing the same i have a file I created named /etc/httpd/conf.d/apache-maddash-root-redirect.conf that contains only the following two lines:

RewriteEngine On

RedirectMatch ^/$ /maddash-webui/

Can you list the contents of /etc/httpd/conf.d?  Maybe something is
overriding the change you made there.
