Now it’s complaining about pg_dump:

/usr/lib/perfsonar/scripts/ps-migrate-backup.sh ~/ps-backup.tgz

Backing-up groups...[SUCCESS]

Backing-up passwords...[SUCCESS]

Backing-up perfsonar configuration...[SUCCESS]

Backing-up bwctl-server configuration...[SUCCESS]

Backing-up owamp-server configuration...[SUCCESS]

Creating pScheduler backup:

    Version Information... Done.

    System Configuration... Done.

    Database.../usr/libexec/pscheduler/commands/backup: line 72: pg_dump: command not found

Should I do a yum install of pg_dump?  I verified that postgresql is gone and postgresql95 is still installed.

Thanks

Pennington, Mike writes:

But when I try to run the backup script, the file is not created and I get the following:

/usr/lib/perfsonar/scripts/ps-migrate-backup.sh ~/ps-backup.tgz

Creating pScheduler backup:

Try "pg_dump --help" for more information.

Some CentOS 6 systems, depending on when they were first installed, ended up with two versions of the PostgreSQL command-line utilities installed, 8.4 and 9.5.  This had to do with a difference is source and naming between what was shipped with CentOS and what we get from PGDG, which is later than CentOS could provide.  We depend on a feature in 9.5’s pg_dump, but 8.4’s ends up earlier in the path and gets run instead.

You should be able to remove the “postgresql” package safely without breaking any other dependencies, and you’ll still have the postgresql95 version.  That will get the backup process working.
