I had some problems with cassandra if there was not enough memory
on the machine, so you can also check that.

Also I noticed you might be running packages from perfsonar-wheezy
repo on Ubuntu 16. Can you check that because Ubuntu 16 installs
should be using perfsonar-jessie repo:
