Hi Andy,

Load/usage numbers are typically low on the pSs. Unfortunately I didn't think to check at the time when tests were failing.

Scheduled testing has been running as expected since I rebooted all the pSs yesterday. As you note, >48 hours has passed for all pSs that had problems with testing. Now that you've reminded me to look for pscheduler test results, I will do that as soon as I notice if problems occur again.

Thanks,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,

Does the box have high load and/or CPU usage numbers in top? or did it when the tests were failing? That could potentially account for some tests not appearing and the GUI seeming slow. Looks like maybe we are out of the 48 hour window that pscheduler keeps test results around so I can’t dig into the pscheduler API to see the failed tests unfortunately.

Thanks,
Andy

I am seeing inconsistencies with perfSONAR Test Results Display on a few of
the pSs in a mesh that I manage. I first noticed the problem earlier this week.

There was also an issue where some of the pSs stopped initiating scheduled
tests last Friday ~5pmET. This latter issue seems to have been resolved with
a restart of pscheduler services or a reboot. I don't know that the display
and testing problems are in any way related, but I mention both in case
there is some known correlation.

Regarding the ongoing Test Results Display issue:

1) The "Test Results Overlay" stats box does not appear for some tests
2) Response to mouse interaction for these tests is limited and very slow
(on the order of 20 seconds or more)

Example at:
http://ps.iu.xsede.org/toolkit/

The display for test results with ps.nics.utk.edu <http://ps.nics.utk.edu> looks OK.

The display for test results with ps.psc.xsede.org <http://ps.psc.xsede.org> demonstrates
the problem.

I rebooted to fully update all pSs, which are now running:
CentOS Linux 2.6.32-696.10.2.el6.x86_64
perfSONAR Toolkit v4.0.1-1.el6

I'm looked for guidance on what error messages to look for or how to go
about diagnosing this problem.

Thanks!
Kathy
