Would an entry in /etc/hosts solve this?  Just a thought.

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I'm running perfSONAR within a network with private addressing.  I see pS node initiating a reverse query to my internal DNS server for an ip address which I don't have an in-addr.arpa entry for.
I was hoping there is an option to stop pS from doing these queries in the first instance.

The results of pScheduler’s rtt and trace tests include reverse-resolved hostnames for the IPs involved.  Both tests have a switch to disable reverse resolution that can be added when the task is submitted, and there’s a directive in the mesh configuration file that will do the same in the tasks it generates.  There is no provision to pick and choose which addresses are resolved.

Are these queries causing a problem that you’re trying to solve?
