Thank you Jon,

     I wondered about that, but it doesn't appear that SElinux is enabled on my system.

[root@ps-fhsu-bw crussell]# getenforce

Disabled

[root@ps-fhsu-bw crussell]# sestatus

SELinux status:                 disabled

[root@ps-fhsu-bw crussell]# ls -lZ /var/run/pscheduler-runner.*

-rw-r--r-- root       root       ?                                /var/run/pscheduler-runner.options

-rw-r--r-- pscheduler pscheduler ?                                /var/run/pscheduler-runner.pid

It definitely happens during the "stop" portion of the pscheduler-runner service script in systemd.  When the script is trying to clean up the PID file.  And if it weren't for the abrt-cli package being installed (and the fact that I'm forwarding root's emails to myself) I'd never even know it was happening, so maybe it's not a big issue.

SElinux can sometimes provide this kind of issue...
