     I'm actually working with that this morning, so it's fresh in my mind.  You can restart the meshconfig-guiagent process to force it in 4.0.  Depending on your CentOS version that's either:

service perfsonar-meshconfig-guiagent restart
or
systemctl restart perfsonar-meshconfig-guiagent

The system will also auto-detect changes to the /etc/maddash/maddash-webui/config.json file and auto generate it if changes are made (I believe)

Maybe I’m missing something here, but is there documentation over how to generate a GUI config for MADDASH in perfSONAR 4.0? 
The old way was to use the generate_gui_config command, but that appears no longer be the case. ( I looked through the MADDASH docs, but it still points to the old method )
