Hi,

You should be all set now, running that rpm command should not be required. We just had a newer version of a package missing in our staging repo that addresses this.

Thanks,
Andy

If you guys sit tight I will copy over some RPMs from nightly that address this without the manual intervention.

Just to add to this...on el6 you need to remove the el6 version of course :)

rpm -e --nodeps python-dnspython-1.12.0-1.el6.noarch

Hi all,

For anyone with systems running 4.0 RC3 from the staging or nightly repositories having difficulty with upgrades due to dependency check error about python-dns* package. If your system is failing to take upgrade, these three steps will resolve it:

1.        Become root
2.       # rpm -e --nodeps python-dnspython-1.12.0-1.el7.centos.noarch
3.       # yum -y upgrade

None of this will be necessary for upgrading systems from 3.5.1 once 4.0 is released.

Best regards,
