We've played around with the NetBeez sensors here. They are reasonably
decent and a pretty good organization to work with if you don't mind
paying a recurring fee for the "dashboard" and lack of complete control
over the internals. It might at least meet your "deployed quickly and
easily" requirement, but perhaps not as low cost as you'd get if you
did it yourself.
