To update everyone on this thread, I installed the PS 4.0 RC1 toolkit installed directly from the ISO. I believe the earlier messages I posted were due to not having the appropriate bwctl-server.limits rules applied. Currently, it appears that tests are working in one direction but not the other. Here are the messages being observed:

The exception being thrown is a failure by pScheduler to resolve a host name when trying to get in touch with one of the nodes participating in a test.  I would check that perfsonar-4-lab-ma is resolvable on that host; my guess is that it isn’t.  pScheduler calls Python’s socket.getfqdn() to determine the local host’s name, and that needs to be something resolvable.  You can check what pScheduler is trying to resolve by issuing this command:

curl –k https://localhost/pscheduler/hostname

Nonetheless, the scheduler should handle the error without crashing, and there’s actually a note in the code that it should.  I’ve opened a ticket on it:  https://github.com/perfsonar/pscheduler/issues/189.  That should be fixed by RC2.
